Breast Cancer Risks

Why are so many women getting breast cancer? Another young patient in the office today with a new diagnosis of breast cancer discovered with mammography. It is an early one, and after treatment she will be fine, but it is so disruptive to a person’s psyche and sense of well being. Her body has let her down.
This patient had done everything right. She is not heavy. She eats properly and exercises daily. She has no family history of breast cancer. Her hormone levels looked perfect.

Helping her recognize that she will be alright is fulfilling, but so is helping her find ways, through nutraceuticals and lifestyle changes, to reduce her risk for future events, enables her to maintain power and keep her sense of control.

Cancer is an awful disease. Finding ways to fight it is very rewarding. So is finding ways to prevent it. Reducing exposures to environmental estrogens by eating healthy organic foods is one thing we can all do to reduce our risks of cancer.
