A very common recurring problem with our patients at BodylogicMD of Sacramento is that of sleep disturbances. Many times this is improved by repleting progesterone that is often diminished in women during menopause or peri-menopause.
Sometimes, however, the patient might have problems with nighttime mind chatter, and might need extra melatonin, magnesium, or certain other supplements to quiet her brain down and turn off her racing mind.
It is very frustrating for a person to not be able to sleep, and the consequences are enormous and include irritability, diminished energy, and work issues, just to name a few.
Finding ways to improve sleep is essential to benefitting our patients on search of balance and healthy living.
